Bettman needs to go, he killed the NHL/ESPN deal to get on...Versus?4th work stoppage since 1992. Hockey deserves to lose whatever fans they have left.

Even worse, when they left ESPN, it was called the Outdoor Life Network. WTF.

@Raf -- Hockey is not in danger. Just one league that can't get it's shit straight. My city has a good minor league team that is well known and does good business. Hopefully they'll do more this year.

That's the thing. Most big stars can make more money in Europe. The NHL is in trouble, and for all intents and purposes, so is hockey in America.

IMO, when the NHL expanded into Atlanta and Phoenix, it was a mistake. Those cities aren't Hockey towns.

Isn't funny that the last lockout, which lasted the whole city, started after Tampa Bay won the Stanley Cup.

I will say on my last vacation, I went to Miami and I saw a Bruins/Panthers game in Ft. Lauderdale, and it was a great game. There were more Bruins fans, which should tell you about the popularity of the Panthers.
