Lightbulb The WWE UK Championship

Kenny McIntosh and a poorly miced Adam Pacitti of Whatculture talks to William Regal while Robbie Brooksides sits there to discuss the tournament and how the weekly show will affect the British wrestling scene.

It's official, Triple H will be more highly regarded as a promoter than as a wrestler.

Round 1 was fun. Looking forward to seeing more of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne.

Crowd should come unhinged for matches between Devlin and Bate, and a potential match between Devlin and Wolfgang. They really don't like Devlin. And Wolfgang is over like crazy.

Joseph Conners changed up his finisher which is usually The Righteous Kill, which is a cradle snap DDT. But he likely changed it up to a cradle Flapjack just for the WWE tournament due to the whole you know...almost killing Drew Galloway thing.

Btw, it's funny how the main men of ICW and PROGRESS where there and WhatCulture were nowhere to be seen. Then again, they did stop booking Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Pete Dunne and Joseph Conners altogether, and not due to peer pressure from WWE either. They just dropped them from storylines.

Trent Seven and Pete Dunne is the clear final to me.

But I'm still pulling for Wolfie.

Watching it now. The Jesus chants for Saxon Huxley are amazing. He's quite shit, though.

Bate and Dunne are instantly entertaining. Not knowing that much about the scene, there would have to be some business reasons for not booking those two. I would want them on every show.

Regal said "work where you usually work but if we need you, we'll give you plenty of notice".

The PROGRESS Champ is Pete Dunne. The PROGRESS Tag champs are Trent Seven and Tyler Bate, and together they are the top heel stable (called British Strong Style) of the promotion. Due to them being booked for the tournament, WWE gave PROGRESS something in return. A Finn Balor in-ring appearance and the man now known in NXT as Aleister Black (Tommy End) had a match against Jimmy Havoc.

Finn didn't obviously wrestle, but he did play a game of musical chairs.
